what's the frequency Karl?

IF,

According to a recent Zogby poll, 42 percent of Americans favor impeachment proceedings if the President lied about the reasons for war, and according to a recent ABC News / Washington Post poll, 52 percent think he did. ~ David Swanson of AfterDowningSt.org

, THEN

What percent of Americans favor impeachment

IF

it turns out that the single largest motivational factor in the massive increase of suicide bombers is not Al Quaeda, but the simple, errant hubris of Mr. Bush - staying in Iraq after realizing that we've no reason to be there?

...interrogations of nearly 300 Saudis captured while trying to sneak into Iraq and case studies of more than three dozen others who blew themselves up in suicide attacks show that most were heeding the calls from clerics and activists to drive infidels out of Arab land. Boston Globe.

If Rove is an employee (v. employer) - then firing him won't be quite as purgative as the pre-cathartic hopes of the many now seek to make it seem it will.
If Bush and Blair and their respective clots of visible thugoraptors were placed before the public in order to mask the real nature of the real agencies behind the increasingly atrocious nature of this erstwhile "clash of civilizations", then it's more than likely, nearer a dead certainty, that the cathartic exorcism of those visible human walky-talkies will have been previously accounted for - already planned for - anticipated.
Cons, con games - from confidence. Not in the gamester, but in the rube. By playing to the need for confidence in the mark, the con-man creates an investment in knowing on the mark's part - the mark thus much less inclined to question the validity of his assumptions. The need to know what's going on is very powerful, sometimes enough to overcome the evidence itself.
An impeached Bush - even tied to Cheney and the both taking Rove home with them - will leave that cawing flock of carrion-eaters their possession of office made possible even more firmly in place.

Well, Jon, we won't be there in 50 winters, but it's kind of interesting to see how they're portrayed even now.

I love the description of the mark's part - the greater the investment in knowing, the narrower, the less critical the mark becomes. As Melville knew. Idiot savantism run wild. How could he err, he knows so much. etc.
